A Weakened Bully Now Slayed by Sappho Head Lowered Not

What is this your flower?
A freckle near its stem
that foregrounds no Image,
none at all, Narcissus?

All along that Mirror
which Kept its Lines bereft
of Beauty I reject
for my Studies of Verse...

This this is the Mark marked
Embossed Monument
on Very Kind Women
we Might have been for One

and for Others. There lies
the Tendon of a Full
Authority, Theory,
Premise and Event, Lost

not when never Assumed
more than the Worst Esteems
cast at me through Hate-Rage,
a Weakened Bully now Slayed.
