Latinos and 500 Years of Semantic Erratum

We get in our tussles, we fight over
Meaning. Like my friend and I we can’t
agree. He says I should never refer
to us as Latinos, and I agree yet
I still do it because that’s what history
has decided makes the most sense. Again,
I know it’s a misnomer, a tragic
erratum that’s never been corrected.
So what do we do defy 500
years of Semantic pollution. Framers
of the First Latino Constitution
have yet to be named, approved, and Conferred.
I have decided to remain neutral
Which is all I can do from the Shadows.
