Princess and P for Poet

Princess and a P for Poet

There was once a princess and a P. But
her job wasn’t to sleep the night away
complaining of her sensitivity.
She gave herself to ruptures come from Cuts
into her flesh to break the bonds were made
for her specifically. It wasn’t HATE.
Emotions are so easy to contain.
But it was a literal way to HOPE.
A new emergence from within her own:
Harm no one. Harm none. Become a Poet.
With the blade of memory and the hand
of carpenters, Cut into the Fibers.

Women Working Life and Love

Women working hard at life and self-love.
For I am both able to care and help
and keep looking for more to make a world
that’s better for each day that I live, well,
it’s gotta to be a good one, it’s my job.
I don’t know when I became the only
one watching out for me, myself, and I.
But if that’s how it’s going to be for
a while, then I better get some poems
written. Like this one here I fear it’s bad.
A terrible and wasted time was had.
at the lines of female oppression
which are the only means I can let go
of all that I have bottled up inside.

May Trust for Working Women : to the domesticated workforce

To all my sisters working in the field
who may be told as I was told:  Choose now!
The choices were impossibly unkind
and none was very good at all to grow
without one entitlement owed to her
or mercy. None will believe that its true.
That whatever portion of power earned
like Nikki Diaz, domestic worker
and surrogate to Meg Whitman, a gal
she'd be a lady if she had a heart
instead of just a golden emperor.
If a life sentence of oppression still
weren’t enough, they also hate and rage
at us since we can do it better, AGE.
